We honor Sheriff Rufe Jordan, a man
who does stand tall,
His years of being a law-man, is an
inspiration to us all.

Forty-two years totin a badge, takes
one hell-of-a-man.
Many men have tried, but there are
only a few who can.

Sheriff Rufe. as a man and as sheriff,
is known near and far,
For the gentleman that he is, and
his dedication to the Star.

Sheriff Jordan is a big big man, and
he carries a heavy load,
As he often helps us lesser ones,
along a rough and rocky road.

You can't blame the bad guys for
trying to run and hide,
Because many have been educated, on
an elevator ride.

Rufe Jordan has made his mark, and
earned his place in the sun, He is all things in a law-
man, all rolled into one.

When you look for a sheriff, none
better can be found,
No one pushes Rufe Jordan, or kicks
his dog around.

The Sheriff has earned many honors, of
him we are so proud,
He has always been a stand-out, head
and shoulders above the crowd.

We appreciate you Sheriff Jordan, big
man with the big white hat,
You're a legend in your own time, it
don't get no better than that.

You're the most admired, respected, and
