Testing Board 1 - 12 volts

A 330mfd capacitor was removed right in front of the 12 volt connection on the upper board for clarity. The use of the wire loops at the connection points are clearly seen.

These boards are from the first run of the ELR and are slightly different from the ones you are using.

This is the connection on Board 1 at the end of the VFO amplifiers.

The receiver should be powered by a well regulated, filtered, power supply rated at 1 amp. Wall warts do not work well, as they are not very well regulated or filtered. Amost all the wall warts tried on the prototypes caused hum in the audio.

This is the connection for the 12 volts on Board 2 next to the AGC circuit.
